I love to think a lot. I’m a thinker and I love to look for new ideas and question current ones. Today I have few thoughts about failure. I want to share them with you right now.
I was always (and still am) a perfectionist. All that I’ve done must have been done perfectly. If someone here is also a perfectionist, then you know what I’m talking about. This is a real chore and the quickest way to get frustrated and depressed about many things. I wanted to control everything, to control every outcome, control situations and everything else. I have avoided failure as hell and when I made a stupid little mistake that destroyed my beautifully imagined outcome I was upset about it.
After some circumstances, fortunately I figured it out, that it surely isn’t a healthy way to coexist with this world.
Failure is inevitable. It is as inevitable as gravity or that two plus two equals four. When you want to achieve something or make something to work, you need to fail first. You achieve something through try and error, this his how we, humans act, this is a fact and something that you can’t escape from. We are wired that way, that we really can’t succeed all the time, it is simply impossible.
We have to get rid of our expectations. We all escape failures, but failures are the only way to success. You have to fail, and you need to do it many times and you have to make it quick. Everything is just a numbers game. Get rid of that thought, that you HAVE TO get it right in the next attempt. You can’t control it, you have a very little control about anything. All you can control is your actions and your attitude. We have only control over input, not output. Outcome is a lottery, but if you want to win it, you have to play.
